Chapter 5 : Clumsy

Chapter 5:  Clumsy "Who the hell are you?" demanded a beautiful brunette. She was wearing the waitress's uniform, a black pencil skirt paired with a white tucked in shirt. Brielle, who was also wearing similar clothes, looked up at her surprised. The brunette spit the hair away from her face and analyzed  Brielle from head to foot. "She's new." said a tall blonde boy, taking a trolley full of wine into the kitchen. He was wearing black pants and a white shirt. "And she's clumsy. Twisted her ankle already. She hasn't even been here an hour." "Hey!" said Brielle, her temper rising. Where was all this nastiness coming from? "There's no need to be so condescending. I'm only trying to work here. Just like you, this job is important to me." "Yeah right." said the blonde boy, exiting the kitchen leaving behind the two girls. "We all saw you on TV this morning." "What does that have t

Chapter 4 : New Girl

Chapter 4 : New Girl He's such a handsome man . Brielle shook her head in vain as she watched Jack walk towards the hotel. "That's the owner." remarked the Manager catching her staring. "Come on, let’s go." "Oh. Right." Brielle wasn't truly surprised.  Of course, he owned a twenty-storey luxury hotel, that's just what billionaires did as side investments.  Brielle followed the Manager into the elevator, the doors closing as Jack Dixon stepped into the hotel lobby. The elevator stopped at the fourteenth floor and the attendant ushered them out. Brielle let out a surprised gasp.  "It's beautiful." she said. One side of the entire restaurant was made completely of glass. The beautiful city shone under the afternoon sun as she looked through them. It was like a view from a hill top. The tables were arranged near the glass so every customer could enjoy the magnificent scene. Brielle couldn't help but be mesmerized by

Chapter 3 : Shock

Chapter 3 :  "You said that? You seriously said that? Tell me you didn't say that." said Amanda earnestly. Brielle sighed. Why did she always ruin everything? "I'm sorry Amanda. I was so surprised that he asked me, I messed up." she said, looking at the menu. "Everything is so expensive here, I don't have any cash, just a ten-thousand-dollar cheque." "It’s alright. Lunch is on me." said Amanda calling the waiter. "We'll have a chicken lasagne for her and a crab salad for me." "I love you so much." said Brielle resting her chin on the table, as the waiter walked off. Her empty stomach growled in agreement. She had taken a shower and changed into more presentable clothes after class. But it had done little to ease her fatigue. Amanda pushed the glass of orange juice towards Brielle. She gratefully took a sip. "Brie you need to take better care of yourself. Is it necessary to go for the morning jogs

Chapter 2 : Surprise

Chapter 2 Brielle felt the temperature drop by at least ten degrees as she met his cold black eyes. He was standing at least a foot away, his tall frame obstructing the view. Not that he was bad to look at though. Just a bit scary. "Are you the woman who brought my father here?" he drawled. Brielle shivered at the tone of his voice.  "If you are talking about the elderly man who collapsed at the park this morning, then yes, I did." she said, rubbing her palms together nervously. She berated herself for swooning briefly over his handsome, clean shaved face. His attire and height made him look like a male model, she usually drooled over in magazines. Suits did wonders for men, pity so few of them realized it.   "I cannot thank you enough for your help." he said monotonously, his stony eyes boring into hers. Brielle suppressed a shudder.    "Really?" she couldn't help herself. "You sure look unhappy about it." "I a
